Katie Pittman's background includes 18 years of work experience in data analysis and in the development, maintenance, and administration of organizational information systems. Pittman is an Associate Professor of Management Information Systems at Southern Oregon University in Ashland, Oregon where she has been teaching since 1999.
Prior to teaching at Southern Oregon University, Pittman worked as a Transportation Analyst for Bear Creek Corporation in Medford, Oregon, a Decision Support Specialist and Financial Analyst for Mercy Hospital in Iowa City, Iowa, an IT Consulting specializing in development of database applications for clients including California Historical Society, Stybring Arboretum (Golden Gate Park), Chemoil Corporation, and ComputerLand. Prior to working as a consultant, she was the Membership Systems Coordinator for California Historical Society in San Francisco, and an Economic Development Research Associate for Syracuse Chamber of Commerce in Syracuse, New York.
Pittman is currently completing her Ph.D. in Information Systems at Nova Southeastern University in Ft. Lauderdale, and has an M.B.A. degree from San Francisco State University with an emphasis in Computer Information Systems, and a B.S. degree in Marketing from Le Moyne College in Syracuse.
