JumpStart Overview - Workforce Tops 1,800 in Baghdad

JumpStart is a humanitarian organization, funded primarily by charitable contributions from the people of Ireland and the United States.

Every week, JumpStart clears over 1,000,000 square feet (100,000 sq meters) of space, an average of about 20 big buildings per week - including many of the largest landmark buildings in Baghdad.

We also demolish about 8 buildings per week that are beyond repair.

We recently began a program to provide housing and jobs for families that are living illegally, but who are willing to work to earn decent transitional housing.

As of right now, we employ over 1,800 workers at forty-four different sites throughout Baghdad, including work for the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Trade, the Amanat, and many others.
