Criminals have kidnapped a long-term JumpStart worker, who has done so much to help his country in the 18 months he has worked for his fellow man in Iraq.
Work in that part of Iraq has been halted until his release. Our prayers and hopes go out to him and his family. We pray that God and good sense will intercede on his behalf.
JumpStart does not pay ransom, as we do not supporting violence and immoral behavior. We hope that the insane cruelty and inhumane unholy practice of kidnapping will end in a country which has already suffered too much from violence against innocents, and in this case, humanitarian workers.
We salute the courage of our staff for continuing to work on behalf of their fellow man and the advancement of Iraqi society, peace, and prosperity through the development of constructive works, even when these acts of progress put them in harm's way.
