After a continuous combination of many small delays in co-ordination with the Iraqi government and in attempting to get permission and badges for JumpStart workers to enter Fallujah, it now appears that our work in Fallujah will start on 5 March.
JumpStart is focussing on clearing the ruins of personal housing that was destroyed in the fighting, and we hope to begin the rebuilding of housing as well. The vast majority of the workers will be local residents. At the height of our Fallujah operations in the summer of 2004, JumpStart had 550 employees working on rebuilding housing and public buildings.
