JumpStart is a humanitarian organization, funded entirely by charitable contributions from the people of Ireland and the United States.
Every week, JumpStart clears over 750,000 square feet (75,000 sq meters) of space, an average of about 15 big buildings per week - including many of the largest landmark buildings in Baghdad.
We also demolish about 6 buildings per week that are beyond repair.
As of the end of February, we employ over 1,000 workers at eighteen different sites throughout Baghdad, including work for the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Water Resources, the Ministry of Public Works, the Ministry of Trade, etc.
